My birthday - I had a wonderful birthday weekend (isn't it great when your birthday falls on a Saturday?!)My best friend Camilla was out in New York visiting me... for a long weekend! :) It was her first time to America - and it was GREAT to have such a good friend in town!
Its very hard to know who to trust in this city but thankfully I had been spoiled with 3 friend/family visitors for the last 3 weekends!
We went to a live jazz/RnB music place on Friday night (to see my birthday in) located on the UWS - I cant remember exactly but may have been 84th and columbus or something - it was called... Inhibitions (maybe?) Brillllllllliant place - very popular, music was great, a very full crowd and the girl (who had an incredible voice) sang Happy Birthday to me :)
Camilla and I then went onto the Gansevoort Rooftop for some birthday cocktails and stumbled back to the UWS at 5am after a cheeky breakfast at a dinner - complimentary of some Argentinian men! I think the wine at 4am topped us off! :/ Bleaaakkkkk! 
Saturday morning - woke up 11am, I know I am getting older as not even my birthday can stir me from slumber! Openned my very generous array of goodies - I got some great things from a gorgeous ring, flowers from my favourite brother ;) , nail vanishes, money to go to a sports game (thanks G&G) but I must admit my best gift must have been my new camera!! I recieved a Canon EOS 60D which is something quite serious! Cannot wait to get out there and start trying to capture my experiences in high res and quality images! 5th March is also St. Paddys Day parade in Hoboken, New Jersey which is where we went to grab some munch... you would have thought these crazy yanks were in Ireland - they go all out! I would love to see them at Halloween! Sadly this was not an event that would have been suitable for a lovely camera - booze-y Americans and nice equipment is a no-no! I speak from experience - one of my friends was drunk in a diner late after a club had cosed and for pure giggles he poured ketchup over me! Photos from my newest love will be coming shortly... stay tuned!!
