A FUN FACT
I just learnt that ... 2011 is one of those years that happens every 823 years where everyone takes how old they will be and adds the year they were born and get the same number!!! I am (/ going to be) 22 this year and I was born in 1989... 22+89 = 111!!!!... See you got 111 too??
Concrete Jungle or Empire State?

EMACK ATTACK ICE CREAM CHALLENGE: Watch it to find out if the challenge was completed!!
My friend in New York called Andrew Ravenna - the one who actually poured ketchup on me... (if you have been following the blog, you will know who I mean) was challenge by my friend Travis Talmadge to eat 20 scoops of Ice Cream with whipped cream and toppings!! The desert was provided by a business called Emack with the intended purpose for children's birthday parties to be shared!
The dish is 6500 calories and the competition was in aid of winning an iPad 2 (the latest must-have gadget released from the Apple store).
I have created a short youtube clip (a couple of mins long) that shows the afternoon - it features the bowl mostly!!

Cinema: Kings Speech
After a fun week spent in the sun, the girls and I went to go watch The Kings Speech (starring Colin Firth)!
BRILLIANT movie - although it did make me a little homesick. The British mannerisms seemed so exaggerated - which I think must just be because it has been a long time since I've been fully engaged and emerged back into English ways for a few hours. Would recommend - a must watch! xx
I also recently went to the Vivienne Westwood exhibition at FIT (the other well known fashion school in New York). The Fashion Institute of Technology is a state univerisity whereas Parsons is private. FIT has more resources such as a larger library and body of students - probably better known in the city because of these traits! This dress below was on display at the exhibition as the first article when you walk in!

SOBE... MORE MIAMI

South Beach - MiamiWe met a guy on the beach called Jake who had one day left in Miami after a bachelor party where he had got merchandise made saying 'Fin-ished' I'm guessing the groom to-be's name was Fin! haha. Well at the 'mansion' this party had rented for the week, the place had a hot-tub - a luxury that my hotel didn't possess! We had great fun, lots of champagne and very spontaneous (if not a little risky going to a strangers place :-s but there were 4 of us, and we are still all in one piece!)

And the aftermath pictured above with Sandra, myself and Sophie falling asleep in the airport!! It was a great week! I cannot believe there is so much sunshine only 3 hours (flight) from New York ... will be back! Fo' sure <3

More Spring Break...
Spring Break Victoria Secret PINK Party
This beach party was attended by well-known VS model, Chanel (pictured below). The day before this free beach party, the girls and I had all rather over-done our sunbathing - it was painful to walk in the 70-80' Miami heat!!
They had organised the event to manage the crowd into blue/pink teams as decided by the complimentary bandana given to you upon entrance. All us girls were in the blue team - and Charlotte styled hers around her bandeau bikini top! She wants to be a stylist - and a great person to go on holiday with as she has SO many clothes to share and thinks of some great ways to re-wear things to make outfits look new and fresh!
Pink had a assault course made from their signature dogs dangling (see picture) - they also had a plunge pool set up, a Photobooth and a pop-up shop.
SPRING BREAKKK
The much needed and greatly anticipated Spring Break finally arrived from 12th-17th March Charlotte, Sandra, Sophie and I all headed to South Beach Miami for 5 days of SUN!
No more cold, rain-y, snow-y grey new york! The smell of sweetly scented of coconut oil sunscreens and fruity cocktails definitely got us into a relaxed mood very quickly.
There was a music festival going on called WMC...
We stayed at The Continental (which was very basic and student-y) the first room we were given smelt like socks that have been sitting at the back of one of my brothers wardrobes for half a year - EWWWW! Second room was better... but lets just say its the kind of hotel you would think should have an 's' in the middle!! [hostel] haha! But it was located a stones throw from Ocean Drive which had lots of (student-y) nice restaurants!
The beach was beautiful - warm clear water, white sands... with the occasional jellyfish (but they weren't problematic - phewww! I barely noticed them but they were pretty)
First real trip out with the camera !! WOOHOO! Although I am not convinced that the beach is the best place to start with those little grains of sand near the lens! :-s
I saw some cool stuff from the man on a uni-cycle, I think I got a chilling shot of a man selling Jewelery on the side of the road - every time I look at it I find his smile very pirate-like and eyes look quite evil! I really like it because it tells a story, you can just imagine what kind of life he leads!
